Hey, this may sound completely arrogant and ridiculous, but i really don't care: I'm needing to do something to a bike of mine that hasn't been ridden in years. I need to remove the crankset and bottom bracket in order to dump several fluid ounces of liquid wrench in there and then muscle the damn seat post out. i never thought this would ever happen to me, but lo and behold...the bike was a gift anyways and i wasn't the one who let it get this stuck. ANYHOW, i don't have any of the requisite tools, am hoping someone here wouldn't mind it if i drove over and did a quick job in his or her garage. and then came back a few days later to replace said pieces. I know what i'm doing and you wouldn't have to instruct me how-to or how not-to, as i've taken on and off dozens and dozens of cranksets and BBs. it's just that i've always used other people's tools.
i can of course provide some bottled refreshments from the mendocino brewing company or perhaps something in the coca-cola department. i was thinking about just going to a bike shop and donating to their tip jar but i like this idea better. i'm a nice guy and i'm broke. send me a message if you're feeling this.
THANK YOU!!!!!
