I'm just curious?

Who made the rule it has to be cake? Cake is gross.

Traditional wedding cakes are so boring. There's no reason not to go with something much more creative.

We did a five-layer tower of cheesecakes, each layer surrounded with a fence of ladyfingers, and with mixed berries scattered on every layer. A cranberry-colored ribbon helped connect the layers.

Not only was it the tastiest wedding cake I've ever seen, it was also the best-looking. Total cost= ~$70.

That sounds delish, DLV, and I'll bet you had to fight to keep the top layer! :p

Another non-trad idea: keg-tower. :D

and the bride and groom dolls are fully dressed. He should be in camo pants and a nascar shirt, she should be in cowboy boots, daisy dukes and a halter top.

The "pie tower" is usually reserved for the honeymoon.

SEE POST 5. btw, Performing the pie tower often makes one state the obvious or become redundant, one of the reasons it is not seen more often at the reception itself.
