Don't ask for it to stop, ask for it to move North! We desperately need rain.
When it rains, the rivers rise. When the rivers rise, the water gets WHITE:D
I'm just sayin:rolleyes:

yeah, but Florida is pretty flat, so I doubt there's much in the way of white water sports down there. all that rain probably just puts pressure on the levees, overflows the lakes, and flushes out the glades.

I have a trainer and I am so tired of riding in my garage. The humidity is 1000% now and add in the heat and it is just uber miserable. I'd love to send it North, but much like a bad house guest, it just wont go away. It has actually stopped for the last 20 mins so I was able to take my dog out and empty the rain gauge again. My neighbors are from Cambodia and we are negotiating a contract so they can plant rice in my back yard.

Not here, it just gets muddy.
My dad has been at Mayo in Jax for tests the last week and a half, he said he feels like he needs to grow gills to go from the hospital to the car each day.
Wow, ok, Dad at Mayo, hope everything is ok. Yea, my route that I was planning to ride on Saturday is under a foot of water. It could be worse though, I could have a half a mountain slide away and take my house with it like in San Diego.

Maybe if you put pontoons on your bike you could navigate those flooded roads. :D
:roflmao: That is a thought

Sorry to hear that. We've had a really dry summer this year.
Well I had another 2.5 inches today, it's really just depressing now. This reminds me of when I was in Whidbey Island for a while. No wonder so many people are depressed up there.
Well it just gets better, my son comes in and said you might want to come see this, never a good thing coming from a teenager. Well doggy, seems I have a Leaking Roof . Guess what I will be doing tomorrow, probably in the rain,

A stationary bike is not riding. It has nothing to do with cycling. It's just sweating on an uncomfortable seat.
As for the rain, though, 19 inches is what we get in Reno in three normal years. And I'd much rather have rain than snow, because it doesn't have to be shoveled, doesn't pile up on my roof and doesn't pack down in the street and make all the 4WD morons think they're God.

Be careful!!
Same thing here in South Florida. I know we needed rain, but come on.......
We also have wind - 20mph as I write, with higher gusts.

In six days, you've had 1.5 times as much precipitation as we normally get in a year.

Old joke: The stranger is out in West Texas and asks the old cowboy, "So what's it like to get 11 inches of rain a year?" The cowboy says, "Not bad, except on the day we get it."

Well, you get 52.64 inches average a year there......
Could be worse, where my brother lives, in Cebu, in the Philippines, it's a bit over 86" a year, average:eek:

Henderson Lake, British Columbia is pretty wet too. Annual precipitation is 6,655 millimetres a year or 262 inches a year.

Please, please, God... send some of it to us. We want nice olives and fruit and no more fires...
I could use a day or two off from cycling, too.
I hear ya, a few years back, it seemed the whole state was on fire. That just sucked, I feel for ya.
Well it been raining on and off the whole night, did not get much sleep, called my insurance company, discovered after I really got into my attic around 3 am that I also have some mold on the bottom of the roof wood, so this has been leaking for a while. I'll have to replace my roof pretty quick and get a mold inspection.

Well all year we've only 6" total. I would gladly trade your rain situation for ours. The dought seems to be here to stay and bad things are coming. :(
So I guess it's a good thing I learn a lot of the trade work when I was a kid, cause I'm going to be needing all of them. I got up on the roof and discovered that the vent boots were dry rotted and were just letting the drain right down the vent pipe. I went and got some new boots and got them installed for a temp fix as I will need to replace that piece of roofing and then re-shingle the area. Then I get to use my handy drywall and tile skills to rebuild the kids bath. Anyone interested in buying a house? :p It will have a new bath and vent boots with some lovely new shingles. :D
