Introductions - New chick from Australia

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

How about telling us where in Australia you are from, and
telling us what kind of bike you are after, and why?
Why are you getting a Giant?
You do know there are plenty of great bikes out there?

I am in Brisbane. I was told that giant can be quality at the $400 price range. I want to get it second hand and check for one to come up on ebay all of the time. I am open to other suggestions.

Well, aren't you a snob....
Why should a woman want to waste time chatting with any old Tom, Dick and Harry who thinks he can hand out a lot of smart comments about a photo set. Loser :p
Anyway welcome to the forums Cosmic and I can assure you that most folk here are actually friendly and won't give you any grief. As a lover of old bicycles I find myself wondering if a Giant could ever be an upgrade for a Raleigh, but don't take any notice of me :);)
Check out the forums and ask questions, - I'm sure you'll be able to get the advice you need.

Welcome, Cosmic. There are those on this forum who are adamant that more Aussie and Kiwi women are what this place needs. I tend to agree. :)
