Hey guys,

I tried to post this on the bike mechanics forum but was having technical difficulties so here it is. I'm 4000kms into my world bike tour meaning my bike (Fuji Touring - Brown model, love it or hate it) has done a little over 5000kms. I've just realised that my hubs need a good overhaul and was wondering if there are any other parts that may need replacing at this stage or sometime in the near future (say, next 5000kms). I was thinking chain, cassette, etc? Cheers.

Chain definitely but other than that a good look-see over everything is probably better than some sort of checklist of what parts to replace.

Lube, clean, new chain, wheel true and possibly retension spokes, maybe new cables but probably not. Tighten all bolts and you know about the tires.

After 6000 km I had to change my cassette and chain
You don't need new cables, I went 12000 km and counting on the same cables
Tires you will most likely have to replace if you haven't already
