i've just finished upgrading my dualcross 200 with Cree stars as suggested above. The effort took about 1h 20min (inexperienced in electronics), light output is much brighter now but i feel it's much more focal now, leaving a more noticeable dark cone in between the beams. Is it a similar result of your modification?
