i was looking into road bikes and i walked into my lbs.
they were selling a '05 releigh competition and he offered it to me for 1175
or an '03 international for 975

which one should i buy? or should i hold out for a different bike
i relaly dont' want to spend more than 1,200
really i wanna spend about 1k

I *had* a Via Nirone and can vouch for it being a great bike. Any questions on them, just ask. N.B. Mine was crushed by a car, its carbon fiber didnt spontaneously combust. :rolleyes:

jamis makes a great entry bike... i do like the bianchi one. also scattante or fuji from performance bike are usually cheap and have really decent components on them...

thanks guys for the advice! due to my dad's 60th coming up..
the money that would've gone to a bike will probably go there..
i'll have to start looking for a bike winter of next year
