Southern California - Anyone riding the SART in Riverside Sunday morning?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. My regular gang is going to be out of town Sunday morning, so wondering if anyone was planning on heading out and minded a +1? Usually ride from the drop in over in the Wood Street area and head out to BerDooDoo and back at least. I'm no racer, but can keep at a 15-17 mph pace pretty easily. TIA. :)

Hi onthevirg. :) Where is the Wood Street area?

Hi Merider1 ;)
It's the drop in between Palm Street and Anza Narrows Park. If that helps any? If not...hmmm, trying to figure out a way to describe it. Let's just say it's close to the area where the trail goes behind Mt. Rubidoux and dumps out on that closed off street before catching the trail out to the end of Van Buren.
Hope that helps some.

ME, that's the new trail in Riverside that doesn't yet connect to the OC SART...I think.

LOL...yes. I'm in Riverside. I'm close to where the SART runs by Mt. Rubidoux. If that still doesn't help, I'm close to where the trail runs underneath the 60 freeway, by the Fairmont Park golf course. If that doesn't help...well, I'm just not sure what to say. :o

1955, you are correct sir. Goes from San Bernardino to Riverside Airport area...so far. We were at the end of the trail last Sunday (at Van Buren) and they've laid some more pavement. No idea where it goes to/ends at though. At least not yet.

You pretty much have to draw stick figures when describing stuff for me, onthevirg. :p But now I got it. ;) I'm not near there or I'd come join you. I'm in the valley.

hi onthevirg,
You might want to check out the Riverside Bicycle Club.
One of the ride groups (they have four) sometimes rides the SART from Riverside to Colton and back on some Sunday mornings.
Here's the web site:

And just as a side note for others, the paved portion of the SART does go from San Bernadino (Waterman St.) through Riverside to Norco (the Riverside to Norco portion has just been finished, or so I hear).

We used to ride VanB to Wood (by 7-11) then back to Lake Matthews. Somtimes the turn before Wood. Mockingbird Lane/Blossom Lane (???)
Was a beauty of a ride befroe they developed so much. Sometimes ride up Cajalco!:D

Thanks Cran. If nothing else I might roll out to Berdo and head the other way, see how far it goes now.

I'm sure riding up that hill on VB would be quite the challenge. We rode up Alessandro Blvd towards MoVal last weekend. I thought I was going to have a stroke. If there wasn't such crazy traffic, that sounds like a nice spin.
