Here is a strange question for all males with facial hair...
Let me explain: I shave with an electric razor (have for years) and have a problem with the sweat leaving a razor burn of sorts on my neck. This even occurs 24 hours AFTER I have shaven.
I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem?
Any suggestions?

I've never had good luck with an electric razor. Never had a problem with the old two edged safety razor (as opposed to a straight razor) or the single edged one in my travel bag.

happens whenever i shave.
i just make do with shaving just before bed so the discomfort is less.
if i shave in the morning, the helmet strap/sweat thing is horrible!
bigger question is, how many like the feel of freshly shaved legs under the sheets? besides your partners?

I have the same problem when I shave with the electric. I've found I can lessen the effects if I use a decent moisturizing aftershave lotion (e.g. Nivea for men) straight after shaving, but it still seems to happen to some extent. I'm a sweaty bastard too, so it can get pretty intense at times!! :D
Doesn't happen at all when I use a blade, though.
I get that at times to, not all the time. Using some sort of after shave lotion does seem to help quite a bit, so I just put some on shortly after I shave now.
As for shaving upper half of you're legs first, that is normaly the worst part for me especialy at first. The lower half I get alot less irritation afterwards.

I am extremely happy to hear it's not just me. What a pain in the ass scheduling shaving and riding. I use an after shave from sephora its mint scented, i have to get the name it's 22 bucks and works awesome, the same brand makes razor burn repair to put on once it gets messed up. Nivea is definetly second best to the other one. i found it, here is the link After Shave Balm (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P9024&shouldPaginate=true) and here's the repair one (http://www.anthony.com/shop/bin/index.php?page=shop/flypage&product_id=57&category_id=d0d6b75ed69ed996eb85e2fdc3f9f7bd&ps_session=5e68d6eeed4c90faf5d5c8f7c300798a&nc=1061006697)
If you have ingrown hairs, could this be causing your problem? Just guessing and throwing something else out there for you to consider.

agressor, i have the same problem. best thing ive found is to shave with the grain as opposed to against. its not as smooth but certainly better than razor burn.

electric shavers produces static electricity, and when the weather is dry, it is a recipe for burn.
i have found that shaving with cool water, not hot is good.,

well, since you are in the armpit....
cool water, with the grain, a new blade and not being rushed. i find shaving specific prep's to be bad. i like gobbing on lubriderm or some other moisturizer with no alcohol.
