Hey All
I’m Mark I live in Poway CA

I’ve ridden Mnt bikes for years now I finely broke down and had a road bike built. Have to say I wish I had done it years ago :D When I say broke down its not because I didn’t want a road bike its just that I’m 6’9” and finding a frame (or someone to build one for a reasonable price) to fit was not an easy thing to do. I have been learning a lot from the forum thanks to all for the great topics.

Ps Hears my new bike

Poway!!

My great grandparents donated the land for the Methodist Church in Poway, and I have several relatives (including mom and step-dad) in Poway area - Rancho Bernardo, Ramona, etc.

But, I live in Parker, CO - but I do generally get out there each year.

Welcome. Where do you mostly ride?

I have been riding a loop Around Poway and Rancho Bernardo not to long but a good after work ride. I tried to commute to work but I have to go down Miramar road (if you don’t know the area it’s a zoo) I think I need to have a little more confidence on the skinny wheels before I dodge that many cars again. I would say if you were out this way we should try to hookup but with you living a 6,000 I wouldn’t stand a chance:D

Yes, I know Miramar Road, and can remember it many, many years ago when it was a 2 lane empty road connecting La Jolla with what was then US 395.

If we were to ride, you needn't worry. Most likely your younger age (I guess, not knowing your age - I am about 64 yo) would make up for any altitude advantage I might have!!:D
