I've been lurking around these parts for a little while

I really started riding a little over a month ago, on my 38th birthday. Worked up to riding a 20 mile route with a max this past week of 36 miles. Set a goal of 100 miles a week starting this month...first week down - 100 miles in the books :D Been using fitday to track my newly changed lifestyle. So far in 4 weeks I am down 13 lbs.

Current ride is a 2007 Diamondback Edgewood Hybrid (Large) - first time I had actually seen a large frame and the fit made all the difference. After the cycling bug bit hard about 2 weeks ago I ordered a Cannondale Synapse Sport 3, it should find it's way over here in another month or so.

I am a USAF FireFighter (Assistant Fire Chief), Technical Sergeant (E-6) with a line number for Master Sergeant (E-7). Spend even more time on two wheels when I fire up the Harley :)

Welcome. Wow, a 36 mile ride in your first month is a great accomplishment as well as the 100 mile week. That is just stellar. Those Cannondale's look sweet. I'd would not mind at all having one.

Thanks again guys!

I actually got out one more time before my week was up. 113 miles! After spending 12 hours on the MSF Range I really didn't want to ride, but I "had" to. That was a good feeling :)

Great keep up the good work. It won't be long before you will want to put more miles on your bike than the motorcycle. I ride my bike more than the mtc.!!!!!
