If I were at home, the Santa Monicas would be nice. But since I'm stuck in Whittier, I may just head out early tomorrow and ride locally. Hope i can get some climbing in before the winds pick up. If not, chalk this up as a Lost Weekend.... :(

Well, in any event, I'm still going to ride to the Rose Bowl (today was an adventure, riding near the Rose Bowl with damn UCLA tailgaters there ... mental note ... avoid the bowl when UCLA game is at 12:30 PM .. duh ). I may do St. Katherine's, then Chevy Chase, Verdugo, then an extra loop through Altadena, down through San Marino, then back to the bowl. Anyone?

I called my friend and bailed. I've had a really stressful month both work and personal life and I needed a break. My apartment looks like the Santa Anas already hit it. :p But I'm slowly getting it put back together. I've just been working overtime every night and have no time to get anything done.

That sounds like fun, Alice. But I hate to break it to you and everyone else, the WIND is so strong in Sherman Oaks right now, we have branches down in our neighborhood. If it's like this tomorrow, riding anywhere will be painful.

Hey, by the way, guys. Do any of you want to do this ride (the century I had planned for tomorrow) next Sunday? Next week, I have to ride 100 no matter what. So, we could aim for next Sunday. I really wanted to do it tomorrow, but I'm too much of a wimp to deal with less than ideal conditions.
