Hard to comment on this. Pretty much face-up tragedy.
Did the driver invite disaster? Yes, but it's still too sad.
Intersting photo, other than that, not much to say.
is the cyclist trying to get some sort of "bike" cred for looking at a car wreck? "oh look at me, i'm a cyclist i'm stopping to look at a cager wreck, i'm morally superior i ride a bike, look at the bad cager, they got their dues and i'm in the photo...."
lol
judging by the distance I doubt that lady even knew she was in the photo.
I do not know her personally but I have seen her often and I think she has about a 15 mile one way commute.

Probably more like the cyclist stopped to say "jeebus, how did that get up there?"

Yeah... looks like the photographer was making a statement of some sort. They could have easily cropped the bottom of the photo and cut the cyclist out without hurting the main image. They could have also waited 60 seconds, the cyclist would have been gone, and they could have gotten the scene without them.
For whatever reason, the photog WANTED the cyclist in the pic.
dont mind my caustic post. :) I happen to know a cyclist locally who enjoys it when motorists die. He smacks his bike elitism around when he sees a crash adn gloats. It annoys me.
It's a great photo, and the cyclist gave it a human scale and provided interest. This was probably a successful suicide attempt.
