After extensively reading reviews, I settled on either an MSR Hubba (sub 3lbs, but still big, lifetime warranty, etc.) or an MSR Hubba Hubba (two person, sub 4lbs, version of the Hubba). It looks to be a very, very nice tent with almost universal great revies that normally sells for $299-$350.

Bouldermountaineering.com is selling the Hubba Hubba for 179.00 with free shipping.

I figured it seems to be a fairly common question, so maybe it will help someone choose from the hundreds of choices.

I am considering the big agnes emerald mountain sl2. Does anyone know how this tent compares? The sl2 is $230 on ebay.

I did a lot of research on the Big Agnes Emerald SL2 as well. I had a bid on ebay for one that included a vestibule, but it went beyond my budget. At any rate, it is also supposed to be an excellent for the $, but for almost the exact same thing, the MSR Hubba Hubba is cheaper.

Quick update: I ordered the Hubba Hubba from the above website this morning. I got the tracking info this evening. Great price and fast shipping. Got to love that.

I looked & couldn't find it. Am I looking in the wrong place, or is the sale off?

Thanks,
Tom
