I just picked up a cyclo-cross bike, which I plan to use for, well, pretty much everything. ;) None of my previous bikes were really made to ride on dirt trails though, so this is a new avenue open to me.
Any suggestions on some trails in the general NYC area that are reachable by public transport? The only thing I can think of is the D&R Canal, which is crushed gravel.
