I got a 2005 canondale roadbike given to me by a friend and it was a good bike it worked well for a while until one day i was riding fast downhill and the back wheel locked up for no reason and i had a major stack. I had grazes all over me and i was so angry at the time i went home put it on my driveway, got in my SUV and drove over it back and forth about ten times. It felt so good to hear it crunch under my tyres but after i had done it i found out the bike was reasonably expensive so i told my friend the bike got stolen. I used prefer to ride a lot more rather than drive but now i will never ride a bike again.

If your being serious (.00000002% chance) I have heard that if your hub becomes so slack that a bearing actually gets stuck in teh gap that can happen.
I think most people would notice that way before that happens though.
Funny story though. Also you wrote "tyres" which makes me think you are from Europe. I thought you guys were all about the environment so Im surprised anyone would have an SUV over there.
Unless you call an SUV a mini cooper with a 2 inch lift kit. : )
peace.

Should be cross-trolled to the road & advocacy/safety forums.

If you are serious, then I think you need anger management classes. Now, tell me, if you had gotten a blown tire at high speed in your SUV, and crashed, what would you do then? Drive over the SUV with a bull dozer? Light it on fire and watch it burn? Geez, any mechanical device has a chance of breaking. Any form of transport that gets a person going more than a few miles per hour has a chance to cause significant injury. First, get a grip. Second, get another bike. Third, get on with your life.
