Anyone know how to do this?
Every online source I've found costs $120 for a one-off.
I've heard the way to do it is get a blank jersey then go to a local t-shirt shop that does sublimation and they'll do it for, like, $10 a side.

I looked into just this method and sure enough I found a great local place to do it.
Now the problem is finding a good blank jersey.
The t-shirt guy said that it has to be able to withstand 30 sec's at 400degF. It has to be a jersey made for sublimating. Polyester for sure, I think. Other fabrics will melt and destroy both our worlds.
OK, so I've seen the blank club jersey at PerformanceBike.com. $50 for jersey, $20 for sublimating: $70 total. Sweet!
Except...that jersey says it's for screen printing. Not for ironing. Who would want to screen print a bike jersey? That's a rubberized coating! It sweats! No breathing. BAD. I mean, I'd be happy to do it---if it were a good idea!!! Does anyone buy those jersies and screen em up? Oh well...maybe a few initials aren't too bad...a simple club name.
Anyway, the Tech Support guy at PerfBike didn't claim to be an expert but he said he'd heard that those jersies didn't sublimate too well. The images ironed on just fine but the heat actually "loosens" the colors of the rest of the jersey---and they bleed and wash out and get on other laundry. Ugh!
Anyway: anyone know of a nifty jersey I can buy that is MADE to be sublimated? (Ideally, a thrifty one.) THANKS! --JP
