Hello!
I moved to Florida from Kingston, NY when I retired a few years ago. Now I work longer hours than before I retired... but hey. The bike I moved down here was a used up Schwinn Tourister- unrepairable. So, I put it out by the side of the road, and haven't ridden for quite a while and missed it. A few weeks ago, I decided to go get a new bike. The first bike I ordered- a Trek wd didn't work out because my legs are too short. Tonight I took my first ride on 2nd try - an Electra 700c. It's supposed to be flat foot technology, but I'm still on my tippy toes - and I will get used to it I guess. The tires are fat. It has 3 gears. This is what happens when you get "elderly" but it has the potential to be a bike I can get to the library on - and maybe after I get used to it - even hook up with a bike club and take some easy rides.
Looking forward to biking again.
