Bike camping sounds fun. Do you drive or ride to said camping area?

Now normally I would believe Mr. Pool...but so far it's been rather cloudy.

Still, I suppose it could be dry over the weekend.

I did get out and view Saturn and Venus this morning through the telescope, though, so the clouds did part at one point :) .

Tempting fate, I left my rain gear at home today, so we'll probably have a deluge this afternoon.

Just got back from a wonderful 60 mile ride. Took off from the Sammamish plateau around 9:30, temps around 52f. Rode the Sammamish/Burke Gilman all the way to Fremont, up Dexter and into downtown Seattle. Southbound on 3rd Avenue until I got to the King Street station where I boarded the 550 express to Bellevue. Rode from downtown Bellevue to Kirkland, east on 85th to Rose Hill until I got back to Marymoor Park. From Marymoor I took East Lake Sammamish, a few rights and lefts here and there and I'm back home.

I think I'll do it again tomorrow. Saturday and Sunday too.

Ballard to Snohomish and back on Sun. Moderate hills here and there and about 90 miles. Last real fun ride of the year possibly. Pie in Snohomish.

A little detour into Everett and you'd have had a century. Nice.

What a beautiful ride this morning. Temps around 45f when I left at 7:30 this morning. Sunny and clear on the Sammamish Plateau but when I descended on to East Lake Sammamish it was foggy. It remained foggy through Redmond, Kirkland and downtown Bellevue. Returned back to sunny Sammamish 45 miles later.

What a wonderful life!!!

It was foggy everywhere this morning...I went down to Rainier and it was thick down there.

Still had a nice ride though :) .

Who is this Mr. Pool person? If it's a weather person, well then, you need to see, M.J. on Fox13 mornings. She's an interesting character and does well at the news.

I can't stand M.J. or anybody on Q13 for that matter. That whole station is absolutely nauseating, whether it's Dan Devone talking about how the Mariners need to score more runs to be successful or Lilly Jang telling us about what so & so wore to the Oscar's...it's really bad!!!

Quit reading my rants...get out and ride!!!

I just got back from riding! I don't watch the anything but the morning while I'm getting ready, but MJ seems like a pretty nice lady and I like the added touch of what to wear, such as a light jacket.

Lilly is better than Angela King who I can't stand. Carmen Ainsworth is pretty good too, while Bill Wixey is hilarious, not necessarily in a good way. Adam Gehrke seems to put a little bit of sarcasm into his otherwise mundane job. It's a nice subtle touch.

How was your ride?

Are you kidding me?!? I left with smart wool under a wind layer and an Underarmor beanie. I made it about 10 minutes before I took off the wind layer and beanie. It was a beautiful ride, here's the stats:

Miles - 29.18
Time - 1:38.01
Alt Gain - 1,456
Avg. HR - 161 (this is for my entire ride, minus refill stop)
Max HR - 187
Max Speed - 41.6

Overall, it was a beautiful ride, hopefully not the last one of the year. If tomorrow turns out this nice, might have to go on a long one.

NICE stats...

Forecast calls for morning fog and afternoon clearing...much like today. Get out and do that long one!

Have fun!!!

Great riding weather today, rode out to see the Sock Eye coming up the streams. Just jeans and 2 layers of wool. Great fall colors and crisp air.

Road to several streams. Knee cap is recovering nicely... After 20 mi., I tire easily...Dr says muscles will rebound quickly.

Beautiful day - I definately took advantage. I saw the fog out over Port Gardner in the morning and decided to wait a little. Did 61 miles around the Snohomish Valley - almost made it all the way to Sultan. I even through in a short (.8 mile) steep hill just for good measure. That's the most I've done in over a month. It hurts so good!

What's the story with your knee? I'm suffering from PFS right now. Well, one doctor says it's PFS another one says, "No, it can't be PFS! You're VMO is almost overly developed and your patella tracks straight as an arrow." My x-rays show a nice groove worn into my femur though (rising sun x-ray pose for those that are familiar) so we'll see after a few more weeks of physical therapy.

We went south yesterday and rode the Green River trail. My brothers wife just got into riding so we made it a short 20 mile ride with a stop for lunch in Kent. Couldn't ask for a better day to ride. Looks like we might have good weather next week. If so weare going to do EVerett to Snohomish and back. Then Sunday I think I will do a ride from Everett to Sultun.

I thought the forecast calls for showers all week. That isn't considered "good" in my book.

Wife and I did 25 miles on the Foothills trail today. Stopped in Orting to see Brian at Trailside cylces and took in the sights and sounds at the first annual Orting pumpkin festival. It was a really nice day except I took a spill when I unclipped the right and leaned to the left OUCH that hurts

yeah it was very nice, I did a 30 mile loop from redmond to ames lake and back. It was beautiful, clear not too warm not raining. It has been 5 weeks since being on the bike, boy inglewood hills sucks when your legs aren't used to being on the bike. Note to self, ride more!

I had a non-biking injury that messed up my knee cap. Screwed it up for 2 mo. PFS is bad news...whatever you do be sure to do those PT exercises.

Did anybody get the pleasure of riding today? I did. I left around 9:00am and got home around 4:30pm. What a gorgeous late October day. Days like today are why I will always call Seattle home. They're few and far between, but when we get one like we got today it makes it all worthwhile.

Blessed be this sunny day.

Got to get out and bike. Met up with friend, biked some more. And he gave me his clipless pedals and shoes to use since I'll get a lot more use out of them for the next few months.

Today was a good day.

How is it that you can be riding all day when us regular folk have to work? That said, yes, I found a way to do a quick thirty today. What a great day!

Oh, it was really unfortunate. I was really really really sick when I woke up so I was left with no other choice but to call in sick. Then, miraculously, I began feeling better. So much better in fact that I decided to go for an all day ride.

:D
