Here's an interesting rig that I saw this last weekend on the Blue Water Ramble event.

That's two adults and two kids on a consist of a tandem bike, pulling a trail-a-bike, pulling a regular kids' trailer. Do you need a commercial truck-driver's license to pilot this thing? They did the 40-mile route, and could move along pretty darn fast.

It's called drafting :D
Pretty sure there's atleast one with that setup on this forum... I know I've seen pics of a similar setup.

Been to many tandem rallies. Not an unusual sight. Saw a triple hauling a 2-seat Adams trail-a-bike + a trailer. Now that's l-o-n-g!

I'm often tempted to try this with my rig - me on the horrible hybrid, my daughter on her tag-along and the dog in his trailer. Any thoughts on how stupid that'd be? The difference being it's just me doing the hard work. (seriously - I'm happy to take risks with me but not the lass).

Used to pull a trail-a-bike behind the tandem, neighbors called it the Seuss-mobile.

Thats more than 2 adults- It looks like two strong lads as motive power. But I am not surprised they only did the 40 miler. That looks heavy.

The Metal Cowboy (http://www.metalcowboy.com/), Joe Kurmaskie, tours transcontinentally this way. From this summer's Trans-Canada trip: a triple, trail-a-bike and trailer:

If you've never read him, check out his web site and try some of the short stories or something from his blog. I guarantee you'll want to buy his books. I'm eagerly awaiting the book from this summer's trip.
