OK, I searched, but I got nothing on crank, installation, or tool.
I see that some of the Profile 3 piece cranksets come with an 'installation tool'
what exactly does this look like...............anybody.
I have a set of Odyssey 42 thermals, and I have to use a mallet to get the loose arm started.
Once on, I can snug it down with the bolt, but it is a PITA with the subtle difference in location using the 48 spline axle.

OK, I see.
apparently Profile has manufactured a puller/install tool; very cool.
I have a puller that came with my Odyssey cranks.
as near as I can tell that is all that it is, a puller.
am I missing something obvious, or is it simply a removal tool?
the profile is an installer, too. You put the arm on, start the installer tool into the spindle and then crank the arm on.

yes I understand.
do other manufacturers produce an install/removal tool?
if not, then is the mallet the choice for putting on the cranks enough to get the bolt going?
I believe that most of them make the tools, and that the mallet is one of the last things that you would want to use to install your new cranks.

I could not see a way to install using the Odyssey removal tool, so the mallet got the nod.
I guess my question is 'how do most install the arms on their 3 piece cranks'?
Does everyone pony up for the profile tool, what specific maunufacturers make an install tool, or is there something I am missing about the Odyssey remover that I own.
