Just so as to stop monopolizing this place, I'm gonna try to bring it into one thread.

I know pretty much nothing about this. All I know is mine are 26" silver ones, one of them is bent, and I want black ones. After that, I'm pretty much done.

What do I need to look for? How do I know whether they're V-brake or disk compatible, or is there a difference? I assume the width of the wheel is the width of tire that I need?

These are my two candidates right now.

the first one looks ok....I've only ever seen 'vuelta' on canadian tire bikes (raleigh tora), where alot of the 'components' are made by this vuelta , i'm not dissing them or anything cause it looks like they got it going on right there;).

aww sweet! I need some new rims for for my KHS (I'll still ride it:)), and the XT/singletrack combo looks pretty solid, also the price ain't bad:D. Actually..I only need a front rim...the bearings in the hub are going all over the place and rattling (not in a good way:(), and all the spokes are loose - even after a 'professional tightening' from the lbs. and i'm buying the 2.2" holy rollers for the KHS - 2.4"'s for the Giant.

now it seems like 2 projects:eek:

I could buy this: http://www.amazon.com/Rhyno-Front-Wheel-Shimano-Deore/dp/B000E4LNB2

but not online, i'd rather see the item 'in person' :p.

edit: this is sweeter: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-26-26-FRONT-WHEEL-SUN-RHYNO-LITE-RIM-LX-HUB-32H_W0QQitemZ320166991364QQihZ011QQcategoryZ58089QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Nice but, correct me if I'm wrong here, those are $145 each for a wheel with no tire while mine are $135 for a pair with tires?

I did forget to mention this is a very low budget deal.

I have had a set of the Vuelta XRP mountain wheels for a year and haven't had any problems with them.

Doh! Well then, options with which to exercise my indecision!

Are those, as well as my original options, going to work with my V-brakes?
