Selle Italia Genuine Gel Trans Am (Skinny one with Gel and slit in the middle) was agony.

Got a Brooks Swift and have been riding it for the past several months with several metric centuries +. It was and continues to be a pleasure. Pretty much felt good right out of the box.

For my new bike I chose the Fi'Zi:K Aliante. Did 63 miles on it Saturday (first ride other than a little ten-miler), and it felt pretty good. I could tell it wasn't my Swift, but I believe this one's gonna work out fine. It's got a little padding, but not too much. Overall I'm happy with my choice. Hurray for not having to go on another saddle search!!!!

(and with the new bike picked up over 1.5 mph in avg. speed!!)

I love my Aliante. It actually breaks in to be more comfy than it is new. I moved up from a Flite Gel, and the Aliante is head and shoulders above it.

Another happy Aliante rider here. One word of warning... the leather cover is really thin and easy to damage. A couple of weeks ago, I closed my car trunk, it hit the back edge of the saddle (bke was leaning against back of car), and caused the leather to tear.

I sent email to the company to see if it was possible to replace and got no answer. I'll probably take it to a cobbler, and see if they might glue on a patch to keep the tear from expanding.
