Hi everyone! Okay, I guess I'm not that new since I at least know how to ride a bike. But it's been more than a decade since I even did that. I just bought a Trek 2100 this week and I am going nuts over it. I LOVE it. But I don't know anything about bicycling, like how often to tune my bike or how to take care of it, what equipment I will need, what are the basics of traffic laws for bicyclists (besides ride with traffic).... and there's probably loads more that I don't know. Can anyone help me out?

I got this bike to ride around LA with my dog. She hates the bike, but she loves the running.

Thanks everyone!

If you are strong...check out the Advocacy & Safety forum  .

Otherwise, check in with the Commuting folks. They can guide you through the worst problems with riding with traffic.

For the other questions, check out the General Cycling Discussion forum :) .
