Hi! I'm Al and I've been biking since last August shortly after I retired from the Government (now I just turned 60). In the past year I've biked about 2200 miles, mostly around the suburbs of South Dayton, and on the miles and miles of great bike paths we have around here. I started with a Schwinn Voyager Sport hybrid bike I bought from the local bike store. Recently I gave that to my son in college and bought a 2006 Trek Pilot 1.2 road bike. After two weeks that was destroyed when it and I were hit by a car (I'm OK but the bike was trashed). It worked out OK because I now have a 2006 Trek Pilot 2.1, which I really love. It even came with clipless pedals!
