Hi folks,

My name is Jason Crane. I ride an Xtracycle (based on a Giant Sedona DX), a Motobecane Nomade I from 1982 (when they were still made in France) and a Motobecane Mirage from the late 70s.

I run a site called RocBike.com (http://rocbike.com). It's a cycling culture site feature daily link collections, news about cycling (particularly commuting), essays from a range of different riders, and a podcast called The RocBike Review.

I've been riding a bike on and off since I was a little kid. I rode quite a bit when I lived in Japan for several years, and I just started riding again this summer (2007). Since June, I've put more than 1,100 miles on my bike and become a daily cycle commuter -- nearly car free.

In the rest of my life, I'm a union organizer for UNITE HERE and I host a jazz interview show call The Jazz Session (http://thejazzsession.com).

Nice to meet you!

Jason

Thanks for the kind words, everybody. And yes, getting that plate request through the South Carolina DMV was a proud moment!
