Mountain - Plains - Not quite OCP enough!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

My wife says I need new shoes before I can hang with the OCP crowd at Starbucks. Check out the matching jersey on my new mascot! :D

Nice mascot and kit! I agree with your wife about the shoes, though. :p

Yeah.. they work well enough with jean shorts and camouflage pants... But they don't quite match the socks. :D
Don't change for anyone Bill!

Teddy bear. Has to go.
For shoes, grab a pair of these for full OCP-hang-at-Starbuck's-don't-get-the-bike-dirty perfection.

*gasp* HERESY! Teddy's got his own jersey! How can you say he has to go? I'm building up a tandem, especially for him, he's gonna be my stoker!

Edit: Ok... I'm lying. The wife has already claimed him for HER stoker!
Bah! Who needs him, anyway!?!! And who wears a bow tie with a cycling jersey? What a loser!:fight:

Shave your legs.
This applies to the bear as well.

Meh. I didn't even bother to shave my face. Why would I shave my legs?

Converted? :roflmao: I'll be out there riding with my camouflage pants much more often than the cycle shorts! :p
I haven't even ridden in them yet. I'll try a ride when it warms up later this week.

Hrrmmm... bib shorts for Teddy? I'll have to get a sewing machine for that... they don't make mini-bibs. I almost didn't get the jersey. (The person doing the order ordered 9 of them so we could make the 10 minimum, even though he had no idea what he was going to do with them! Thanks to my picture of the bear in the jersey, he's now sold 6 of the extra nine, though...)

Keep the shoes. I ride in lycra with a pair of dirty mountain shoes. The heck with the naysayers! :p
Oh and ditch the leg hair and grow out a amish beard.

Dude, those cannondale mountain touring shoes rock. I have a pair, and while I love my PI roadie shoes, I wear the cannondales on centuries or any other ride where I might be walking around a bit. They're comfy, surprisingly stiff, and NOBODY but us too cool to be understood kids wear them.
Awesome. I thought I was the only one commuting in camo cargo's.
