Classic & Vintage - I'am a Paramount owner!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well, I jumped on this Paramount today on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3622098602
I am tapped out of bike funds so I won't be buying any more bikes-for awhile:). Thats the bad news.
The good news is I have more time to ride the ones I have now!
I've always wanted a Paramount and I like the green color of this one. My size too. Now my wife has her A-D and I've got this Paramount and a Motobecane to ride the rest of the summer!~
Wheres all the Paramount info at?
Thanks!

You lucky S.O.B.!!!!!!!
Promise that you won't do any stupid upgrades.
Absolutely fantastic bike:beer:
What an absolutly beautiful ride...and welcome to the a: club, b:clan, c:cult (pick one..or more!) That is really a wonderful ride, if you have only half as much fun on your as I've had on mine, you are in for a lot of fun!!
Paramount info can be found at http://www.waterfordbikes.com and at http://www.schwinnbike.com (go to the forums pages, I believe.) And, I think old roads (http://www.oldroads.com/) may have some info also. And, lest I forget, sometimes visitor to this very site, the one and only Sheldon Brown at http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/index.html
And don't feel bad about blowing your bike money..after this, you don't need anymore....well, unless it's another Paramount!! As the owner of two myself, I can tell you the only thing better than one is more!!
Enjoy
MAGNIFICENT! That is a very well-preserved specimen of international (at least U.S., U.K., Italy, and Switzerland) craftsmanship.

Congrats on the new ride! Just beautiful!
I have a bit of information on the '72 Paramount here:

Forgive the dead links -- I haven't had much time to devote to the site in the last couple of years ...

Thanks for the links and info on Paramounts.
One question that pops up at me is how can you tell the difference between the P-13 Racer and the P-15 Deluxe Paramount? From the pictures on Bobs link they look very similar if not identical, except for paint. Thanks again and good riding to all!

The primary difference is fender eyelets on the dropouts and clearance for fenders (which is why the Campy sidepull brake calipers were not an option for the P-15). The chainstays may be longer on the P-15 frame as well.
