Hi there! I'm new in every way to the world of cycling. When I was a kid I got my first bike and rode it for about 1 weekend total. My dad was so tired of running beside me that when the tires went flat from lack of use he just told me I broke my bike. I wasn't that heart broken about it ...
A couple of years ago I bought a Treck hybrid and started riding. I rode everyday - around this circle in my neighborhood - it was the most boring thing in the world...so again I stopped. But now, I have a beautiful Specialized road bike and I'm getting ready for group rides, doubling my speed on hills (so glad I'm not at 5mph on the little hills anymore!) and enjoying road riding very much!!
My goal is to ride the length of the Outer Banks of NC by the end of fall this year and ride the Blue Ridge Parkway, next fall.
I'm a part time student (massage therapy and soon Muscle Activation Therapy) and I work with a Law Firm to pay bills. Believe it or not I quit corporate america to pursue this dream :) pain management - not Law Firms. haha! :)
Well, I've rambled enough. I'm looking forward to all that you guys have to teach!! I'm a blank slate at this point and I look forward to reading the forums!
