I am soon to buy a recumbent bike with a Bionx assist. I was wondering if I could add a supplemental 20amp battery to it without burning out the controller? Also as far as range goes. Using a 20 amp battery would the 250 go farther than the 350? Thanks

BionX uses proprietary components, including the battery, so you'd have to check with them on what kinds of power packs they'd be able to make for you, or you'd have to work a way around their proprietary system. Buying a regular battery pack and trying to use it with a BionX won't work.

So far as your motor controller question, as long as you were running the proper voltage on the packs and either running them at once or in parallel, no problems should arise. Then again, due to the proprietary nature and specific design of the BionX, i'm not sure you *could* run parallel.

As far as range goes, I would personally think the 350 would outlast the 250. Not knowing how efficient each of these motors are, I do know that a 24v/20ah pack would hold 480 watt-hours of power, whereas a 36v/20ah pack would carry 720 watt-hours.
