I am finally making it back to California....tomorrow morning
I am flying in to Ontario and will be in Temecula(sp) until Wednesday.
This one crept up on me so I never really had a chance to try to arrange a ride of any sort :(. Don't even know why I'm starting a thread, but it just doesn't feel right to head to California and not drop line in here before going.
I won't even have a car, but is there any cool bike shops in Temecula?

There is a nice ride north from there to Corona that passes an excellent hot springs resort. To the south. Fallbrook, Oceanside and beyond are many options

Redhawk Bicycles is on 79 (tell Dennis that Tracy says HI) and Cycopath is on Rancho California.... personally, I prefer RedHawk... have purchased 3 bikes from Dennis... very good guy!!!
Have a great trip!

I don't know about bike shops but there are some fine wineries in and around Temecula.

Yeah the place I'm going to had a winery tour as an option for tomorrow. Hard to expense that though, and it would have been on the same invoice. :( Oh well, I can get caught up with work.
More of a beer man anyway. ;)

Ooooh, just saw this and I live in Temecula. I agree with tprevost, Red Hawk Bikes is the best and it's on 79 So. or rather, Temecula Parkway now. PM me and I can give you all kinds of route suggestions and Red Hawk Bikes would have a bike you can ride if you don't have yours.
I can even come and get you and take you to RH Bikes if you need a ride.

Awesome. I was at the Holiday Inn Express Temecula, but tonight I am finally in the Temeculs Creek Inn. You all have elevation changes here. Crazy. I get a nose bleed just looking at the mountains. Wish I had a car.
Oh well....Beautiful part of the country you all live in. Don't waste it by not riding.

HAHA! I met someone in the plane that said she lived near "that nice fellow who won, but those French people didn't like him so they took it away."
Honestly I had a good time in California. I really wish I had a bike with me. I am not a climber, but all I could see myself doing was climbing all of those passes I could see between Temecula and Ontario.
Funny thing is that I went all the way to California to a professional conference only to meet a fellow BF'er from Tenessee. Can't escape BF.
