Did my first Century the other day! Eight Hours Twenty Minutes Thirteen Seconds in the saddle, Total 11 1/2 hours Age 67. Bike: 2003 Mongoose CrossWay Pro Hybrid. Weather: Mid 80's, North wind 10-15 mph. Locale: NW Florida, slightly rolling country paved road, mostly East/West. Fuel: Spaghetti supper and huge oatmeal breakfast, then 2 and 1/2 gals of G'ade plus 1 gal water, fig newtons and slimjims, one banana enroute. Used my truck as fuel station, stopping by about every hour. Rested about 15 minutes per stop, except 45 minutes at mile fiftyseven. Started at Sun up, and it was touching the opposite horizon at mile 93, but completed the Century in twilight with lights on. dohaco

Wow, doing a century on a mongoose is pretty brave.
