About a month ago i bought myself a bike. Now this was the 1st bike i'd had since i was about 14. Admittedly i wasn't too good at steering at 1st so for a little bit of practice i did a few laps around my garage.

So i came home. Parked my car in my double garage. got out of the car and hopped on my bike to do a few laps then go out for a ride.

BANG .. i'd left my car door open.

I wonder if i'm the first to hit myself with my own car door :o

I once slammed my own head in a car door. Don't ask...

I'm sorry but I really want to ask anyway.

I hope the Lexus was totaled.

Daniel, I can't imagine dooring oneself is an entirely common phenomenon, but wear it as a bage of honor!

Unlucky. Never done it myself, mainly cos we never leave the door open..

You doored yourself! I love it.

But Foo isn't the place for this thread. You must post to A&S, cuss out the "cager" who doored you, then reply with even more venom against the cyclist who wasn't watching where the hell he was going.

It was high school, I was driving my mother's ancient Olds with doors that weighed a ton. I got in the car pulled hard on the door to close it when a pretty young girl called my name. So I went to stand up and only got about halfway when the door slammed on my head. It nearly knocked me out. Smooth move, eh?

I believe Charles Darwin was driving a 70s coupe from the United States when he came up with the whole survival-of-the-fittest thing.

You must have one large garage to be able to ride in it. I ride in my garage, but I hooked to a trainer when I do.
