What are the dimensions of the Swift folder after the first fold, in inches or centimeters?
That is when the seat post is pulled up and the bike folded in half, and then the seat post is pushed all the way down. I don't want to know the measurements when the wheels, pedals, and handlebars are removed. I would like the dimensions with the simple first fold.

The dimensions are "big" :D

It's listed on the site, I forget where. Practically speaking:
• fits pretty easily in the trunk of a car
• fits into a 31" suitcase, if you disassemble it
• not really a great fold for commuting via train

Working on the train really depends on the type of train and what the storage area is like. It isn't a good under the seat or in overhead bin bike. It is good if you are standing next to the bike or can lean it up at the end of the car.

I agree that it isn't that small of a folder. However it is a simple design that results in a stiff bike that handles well. If you are going to be flying often I think you are better off with a Bike Friday.

I received an email from Steve at Swift Bikes and he gave me the overall dimensions of the Swift for four different folds. From the simple quick fold, to the take it apart maximum smallness folding.

Why are the folders (besides the Swift) on the bike train? Shouldn't they go on your lap?

Yeah, I'm kidding. But I'm wondering why they have to fold it if they will just park it in the rack.
