Foo - like a snow day

My daughter had wisdom teeth removal scheduled today and I arranged time off to escort her.

We arrived as told by 7:45. 7:40 in fact cause I like to be early. By 8:05 someone arrived and told us the Dr. wasn't in, they tried to call us twice last week to cancel. Those two times by the way were last Monday and then Friday at about 1:30 PM both times. Nice effort folks. :mad: I figurred that the fact they didn't get ahold of us would have put someone at the door to meet us upon our arrival with a bit of an apology at least!

Anyway, so now we have the day off. I wasn't gonna make her go back to school and I sure as hell am not gonna return to work. We're goin to the movies. :D

Her mom probably wouldn't approve. Her picking the movie will have to do instead. btw, the better half is jealous, she's working. :p

Oh, I even have time to slip out for a ride if I want. It's a beautiful fall day.

Did you charge them $50???

(One of my wife's doctors had a policy that if you didn't cancel at least 24 hours in advance, they'd bill you $50... After the FOURTH time they canceled or rescheduled an appointment with no notice, I totally went off on them. They ended up 'refunding' the $50 fee that they'd charged me for an earlier appointment that we had to reschedule when an emergency came up and I couldn't get away from work to take her. Funny thing... they NEVER canceled or rescheduled another of her appointments after that...)

We should get something you would think. I'd like a call at this point saying we're gonna get some kind of price reduction for our inconvenience. We had the entire week arranged around this and it was an hour drive to the appt. Absent that, I'm goin to another doctor. I haven't decided yet if I should call and request a price break.
