Wintery Gloves

Ok, I could have posted this in the Winter forum or the Road one but then I'd get a lot of grief about how it isn't all that cold here in Socal and everyone REALLY suffers in Minnesota......

So, I'm looking for a pair for gloves for colder temps. I have some full fingered ones that don't quite make it when the outside temps are in the mid-40's so that wind chill on the bike is quite a bit colder. Saw the PI Cyclones at Performance yesterday. Not bad. Does anyone use the lobster types? I hate cold fingers!

Suggestions? I also have some liners I've used so I know that option.

I bought the PI Cyclones and they are great. I rode on day with fingerless and they day after with the Cyclones... huge difference in the level of comfort. I would recommend them.

I have... gloves I got at the hardware store for snowmobile riding, a bit bulky but warm

Last year I bought some from REI that are more substantial than regular long fingered Pearl types- work pretty well & were reasonably cheap, around $30.
"Headwind" or wind..something. Recommend for chilly mornings.
While you're at it, check out "Turtle Tubes" head wrap in their ski dept- they rock.

Check out some motorcycle shops too, they have good qaulity (also expensive) gloves that handle the cold and let you feel the controls on the bike.

Incidentaly, It does get pretty cold here in SoCal, the lowest temp recorded this year in Irvine was 32*F on, I think, Jan 19th....I remember riding during that period in the mornings and it was bitterly cold, especially at above 10mph!!

I have some good winter gloves but I can't remember the brand, sorry...

Rode to work today and wore my AEO gloves. They've got Thinsulate. Good stuff. :)
