Minewt on handlebars with cross-top brake levers?

Planning on ordering a Minewt this week and trying to figure out how I'll mount it. I have a Kona Jake with cross-top/chicken levers. There is an effective area of about 1/5inches between my stem and the beginning of the levers- is this enough space to mount the light? Then the battery pack would go on the stem?

My alternative is a Minoura SwingGrip that protrudes down from my stem to put the light on, but then that effectively takes the stem out of the equation as far as battery mounting is concerned.

You'll need just shy of an inch of space on your bars for the MiNewt. I think that you need about the same for the Space Bar. Purely Custom (http://www.purelycustom.com/bicycle_Products.html) has this stem cap mount:
