I bought a Trek Fusion computer about 3 weeks ago and it has died.
I stopped during my ride to drink and rest for a minute. As I was getting back on my bike, I looked down at my computer and it flashed, zeroed-out and died.
Has this happened to you? Could it be that the battery doesn't last that long? BTW, it showed no signs of the battery dying since it happened suddenly.
I am going to go to my LBS and have them look at it, but I was wondering what you all thought.

My Cateye did that. It was because the contacts had gotten wet. I popped it out of the holder, wiped both parts off really well, and put it back together. My LBS says this is a common thing.

If the contacts are getting wet, it may not fit properly. I have a Trek Fusion that I have used in driving rainstorms, been splashed and darn near completely underwater, and it keeps on ticking. You can, however, put the Fusion into the holder improperly, and water and other harmful things can get between the contacts and the case.

I think I caused the problem with mine by taking it out to read it, at night. It was too dark to see, so I held it up to the light. I think I got it all sweaty in doing so. :(

Part of my younger life, I was an electronics technician in the Navy. I found that electronics is weird. Little gremlins live inside of all them transistors and stuff and they do things just to make you mad. I have found that if you ignore them, they get irritated and do more bad things. So, talk to your computer and tell it how much you appreciate it. That always keeps the gremlins happy.
