Under Armor Cold gear by itself?

I have a pair of under armor cold gear tights I've used to run with in the winter. Anyone use these by themselves to ride? I don't know if they will be windproof at all, and I don't want to wait until it's 25* to find out. Any experience using these? Thanks.

I'm actually wearing a pair RIGHT NOW (our building's heat hasn't turned on yet). The windproofedness does not impress me, but they're a decent base layer IMO. I'll wear them down to 50° on their own or under BDUs, but otherwise I wear Pearl Izumi's AmFib winter tights down to 40°, then the AmFib tights over the Under Armours down to 20° with a pair of wool legwarmers thrown into the mix on the lower end.

Below 20° I wear three pairs of tights and a large pair of brass spheres in the crotchal area.

I'm generally a lot more comfortable in colder weather than others, but I must say that the Under Armour Cold Gear is great as a baselayer for under 45 degree weather. Just put a wind breaker/wind pants over it.

If it gets colder than that, I'd put a pair of tights or sweat pants over the Under Armour and then use wind pants/wind breaker.

But yeah you really need something on top of that stuff. And plus, it is pretty expensive compared to other options.

It is expensive, but I already have it, so I guess I will be layering. Thanks for the help.
