I did the Bass Lake Powerhouse Double Saturday, sorry no pics. They had to change the course due to road construction. The new course was to have 10,000' of climbing but I ended up with 12,041' and 201.2 miles. 5,000' of climbing was in the first half to rest stop #3, with most of the big hills in the second half. The first 37 miles were dead flat and fast. The longest climb was from mile 121, Manzanita Lake on the San Joaquin River, to Bass Lake 19 miles. The last big climb was at mile 162, back down on the San Joaquin River at Kerckhoff Lake, 5 miles of 6% before it was downhill back to Fresno. The rain held off, although we did get so heavy mist at Bass Lake. I had a ride time of 14:02 and overall 16:00, did some waiting for some other riders who were a great group to ride with. The areas we rode through had some outstanding scenery, I wished I had a camera or ME with me for some pictures.

Good job, Dante. I had never even heard of this one. All you doubles riders (the people who actually like doubles) are a special breed. Are you doing either Solvang or DV coming up in the next 2 weeks.

That was my last double for the year.
