My son crashed his Huffy MTB and mangled the rear derailleur to the point it is now is several pieces. I have been looking for a replacement but Falcon parts are not as common as I'd hoped. I checked several online stores but haven't found any exact replacements.

This bike has a 7 speed cassette and Falcon grip shifters. Can I get away with a Shimano or Sram long cage rear derailleur? If not does anyone know of a source for another Falcon component?

get rid of the Huffy and get a REAL bike. The Huffy is what is referred to as a P.O.S.

Better yet, support your LBS. Most have boxes of take off derailleurs from people that have upgraded.

In my experience, for those types of bikes and situations, this is probably your best bet.

I bet they even install it in a few minutes for a few bucks and your son will be rolling in no time.

Don't bother looking for a falcon, it's junk.
