Foo - What makes you happiest in life?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I like stress free days in the sun. Sitting by the lake. Eating a sandwich and drinking a grape NEHI.
There are a few other things but this is a "family" forum.:p:D

In the quiet calm of night, taking Mike for a run, smells of exotic cookery emanating from varied homes. What stories are out there? Each with its path through this world, and how special I am to cross paths with just a few.
To crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and to hear the lamentation of the women.
A comfortable bowel movement.

Sitting out on the porch during a sunset, nice thick medium rare porterhouse on my plate with some garlic/cheese mashed potatoes...and a glass of bourbon.
Even better if someone else is sharing this sunset with their own plate and glass.

Still fighting with BOB, huh?
Things that make me happy:
A nice bike ride...can be a hammer fest or a cruise, depends on the mood.
A nice cold soda after a major hammerfest.
Hearing a great song on the radio that I have not heard in a long time.
Communicating with freinds and finding out something nice/pleasant is going on in their world.
The sounds that can only be heard when you are deep in the woods at 3:00 am.
The smell after a spring time rain.
There's more.....but not going to take the time to type all of it....to sum it up..its all the simple things in life.

When it is about 65-70F outside, slight breeze, the air is crisp. Driving my car around at that time, with the windows down, hear nothing but the engine purring, wind whistling by my ears, knowing the fact that everything is in working order. Then having a great bike ride later, hearing nothing but the tires against the pavement, and the wind howling by my ears, as i increase speed.

Knowing that in this complicated world, all has a place and everything works in synch with everything else to form life as we experience it and as which we are. Ultimately there is agape which envelops it as a whole.

Seeing my boys happy makes me happy. Last night seeing the smile on Wades face as he earned his first Cub Scout badge was incredible. I am still smiling about it today.

My beautiful little princess.
From seeing her beautiful face as she was born to watching her on her sports days.
From riding our bikes together by the river, to jumping onto stepping stones across the river.
From saying ohayo in the morning to oyasumi nassai in the evening.
And finally, telling her everynight how much she means to me, kissing her good night, and saying "I love you, sweet dreams my little pricess" :)

Riding a bike anywhere, and spending time with my friend Brandy.
She doesn't know it yet, but she's getting a new bike real soon.

Ha.
A girl showed me her scars once, I told her she wasn't serious and it was obviously a cry for attention, because they went across the veins not with it.
Don't think she was expecting that as a response.

I'd consider my current mood: Blues
The music is better, and no one seems to make fun of B.B. King when he says that the thrill is gone, oddly though i'm emo for saying. I really want to figure this one out.

/\ that's supposed to be a secret;).
It's gonna be hard to get her fit for a bike, without her knowing. Any ideas on how I should go about it? A14" mountain bike works well (she's about 5'3" with average proportions) would a 50cm road frame be close?

I'm not sure, but you may have just broken my brain.
Anyways, if Blues is your current music mood, switch over to Blue Grass, I find it an easy transition and it's more upbeat generally.

Offer to work on her bike for her. Take it to the bike shop. Let them measure it and recreate those measurements on a road bike. Should get you close. Best of Luck

this brought a lump to my throat . Funny thing I am nearing the end of my life yet never married or had children although it is all I ever really wanted. Plenty of chances ..all blown. I'll never experience what it is to have children of my own. Thats kinda sad and my only real .regret in life
I suppose it is the simple things like everyone else. Being alone with nature , spending time with my girlfriend or alone with my cats,

Just think, you don't know what it's like to get up at 3AM to change a sh!tty diaper... then get pee'd on for your trouble.
Regret nothing my friend. :)
I enjoy spending time with the people I care about, friends/family. Talking about life and enjoying eachothers company.

it's only emo if you present it in an angsty manner.
Blues is more subdued, sure I'm broken and my heart's been stabbed with a pitchfork and then salted....but you know what, that's life, take the bad with the good. Emo on the other hand is more Life sucks, I bet you really don't give a *** about me, I'm better off gone, etc.

I am happiest when my stomach is sore from laughing so much with my friends/ family, I have no pressure on me from exams etc. or I do well in exams, travelling to places with my friends and when I have just come back from/in the middle of an awesome cycle.
More examples I am sure.. just not thinking much at the moment..
Good thread though.
