Can there be a separate thread/forum whatever for those who wish to discuss which assault rifle is the most effective while on a cycling tour or whatever?

These things always just degenerate into name calling and stupidity anyway, it would be nice for those of us who just want to talk about bikes to be able to get on with it...

I agree, but people insist on discussing them. Short of a 'no gun talk'policy with any thread about them outside P&R getting locked, i can't think of anything else. Other than not come to the site, obviously...

Tell you what - if in the course of an unrelated thread the subject of weapons comes up, report the post and we'll delete it and try to get the thread back on topic. If someone starts a thread devoted ways to carry a weapon on a bike or some such thing, let them have their thread. You can just skip to the next one.
