Two Finns sit at a bar drinking continuously all night without saying a word. After 12 hours, one turns to the other and says: "Kippis" ("cheers"). The other turns to him and says: "You want to talk or you want to drink?" and turns back to his vodka.

The way I heard it, there was a solemn moment of 3-4 hours with yet more vodka between "Kippis" and the reply.

Hahaha.

My boss is from Finland.

I'll tell him this and see if he gets it...

A mixed party of Scandinavians were marooned on a remote island. They were rescued several years later.

The Danes had tamed the wild cattle on the island and were making cheese and butter.
The Norwegians had tamed the sheep and goats and were knitting sweaters.
The Icelanders were fishing.
The Finns were logging.

The Swedes hadn't spoken to anyone because they had never been properly introduced.

(Another version has it a mixed British party.

The Scots were hunting deer.
The Irish were making whisky.
The Welsh had started a choral society.
And the English hadn't spoken to anybody because they hadn't been properly introduced.)
