General Cycling Discussion - which San Francisco bay area LBS?

I have gone to performance and pacific bikes. I'm looking to find a specialized bike shop that is going to remember me. Where to go? I also want a good deal. Any recommendations?
I live in Sunnyvale.

I really like Sun Bikes in Milpitas. Off of 680 and Landess before Park Victoria. Very small shop but has a good selection of stuff. Got me a great deal on my Giant TCR 1 Carbon ;) I would definately go back.

I agree, Sun Bikes is a nice shop. Another small shop is Shaw's Lightweight Cycles (http://www.shawscycles.com/). It's in Santa Clara, near the university. A little hard to find because it's in a strip mall and the entrance is only from the rear. A neat, off-beat kind of shop.

I like Sun Bikes too, they had the cyclosport HAC-4 bike computer in stock!

Also there is Chain Reaction, a very active shop on the peninsula.

Do you want a "Specialized" shop or just a "specialized" shop?

Menlo Velo (Menlo Park)

For the latter, I second the recommendation for Chain Reaction (2 shops, Redwood City and Los Altos). Also try The Bicycle Outfitter (Los Altos). One good way to find shops is to pick out a few brands you're interested in and use their dealer locator.

I like Mike's, Palo Alto Bicycles, and Bicycle Outfitters in Los Altos. They're pricey, but very knowledgeable, especially @ Outfitters.

And there's the Cupertino Bike Shop on De Anza Blvd. I've found them friendly and knowledgeable, although because of my location I do most of my stuff with Chain Reaction in Redwood City and Bicycle Outfitter in Los Altos.
