Utility Cycling - Replacement Plain Pedals

Any recommendations? My Breezer pedals are too slippery, and besides, the rubber or plastic is curling up on one of them.

I was thinking something like this:

The Nasbar pedals you've found are good al'round but this

I have a pair of these on my trike as well as my city bike. I can tell you that if you
take care when you set your foot on the pedal it will STAY just where you put it until
you lift your foot off the pedal!!! I find this to be great in wet /slippery weather or
muddy feet. However, word of warning. These pedal will hurt you if you're careless
in your foot placement but that soon becomes a non-issue and more of a habit.

I like these Nashbar pedals so well due to the large comfortable contact area which spreads foot load
out nicely.

I have a set of Wellgo basic pedals which is identical to the two you've posted... I love them as they grip a wide range of my shoes. You will only let one hit your shin one time.

I previously tried a Wellgo (City?) pedal similar to the one Tightwad posted, although instead of the small pegs they had rubberized areas- these were too slippery. They were also larger & heavier than what you've found...

These nashbar pedal have replaceable pins that screw in (ya get an extra set)
which is how they bite into the shoe so well. Your foot is VERY unlikely to
ever "slip" off these pedals!!

I've got the performance ones. They are ok, but if I had it to do over again, I would get a pedal that is identical on both sides instead of one side having to be up. It is annoying to have to position or rotate the pedal at every stop.

Here's another option from Rivendell Bicycle Works. Sneaker Pedals. I have them on my bike and like them a lot.

Harris Cyclery carries a few different MKS pedals--don't cost a lot, are generally made of metal, some cages, some rubber block (ride barefoot!).

Check your LBS. Mine has a milk crate full of new and used platform pedals.

If your looking for something with a more agressive grip,you may not have to look any further than the nearest older mtn bike or bmx.Some of them came with decent enough pedals and your feet sure won't slip off.
