Not ridden but I've seen the product on a demo bike and it appears to be a well made piece of kit.
I doubt any company would build a 144 crankset for hype, I think Truvativ have probably seen the opportunity to move quickly while Shimano are stuck building Kieran spec equipment and Campag are floundering with a new design thats never going to cut it.

It came standard on my recent;y-purchased Bianchi. So far so good, but I'm not the most sensitive or discerning of component users -- in other words, it hasn't broken, it feels stiff, and works well, and it looks good, but I can't tell you if its relevant properties are slightly more or less of something than other track cranks. The only "problem": my bike came with a 48 ring, and Truvativ hasn't yet made any other rings, so you'll have to use a different brand for 49+, and the 48 ring is a bit thicker than the other brand of rings I use (FSA), necessitating two sets of slightly different length chainring bolts.
