Can any of you possibly help diagnose this one? I have a pain that starts in my hamstring and goes behind my knee to the left side of my calf. Feels really freaky and sucks.

Sounds like a nerve or tendon thing.. but only a doctor in person can really diagnose this! Obviously seeing a Doc and getting some rest are called for.

I've heard this rule of thumb more than once...
Pain on the FRONT of the knee - raise your seat. Not enough leg extension.
Pain BEHIND the knee - lower your seat. Too much leg extension.

I had the same thing early in the season on my trainer.... it is most likely, your seat being too high... drop it 1/4" at a time, and see if it helps... It drove me nuts until I figured it out... kept feeling like a tendon was popping behind my knee... it's too much overextension

Lowered the seat and the pain has seemed to go away. Thanks!
