Foo - Why do I love the taste of Monster

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just cracked open my first can of lo-carb Monster in a few months. The first swallow was delicious. I cannot understand what I love so much about this drink, unless it's just the caffeine addiction talking. Incidentally, I ONLY drink the sugar-free versions of Monster and Red Bull because I find the sugar in regular version is what causes the crash; but the lo-carb versions provide a smooth, almost undetectable takeoff and landing.

From freshman year to november of junior year, I would seriously have a few monsters every week. And as my blood pressure became 20 above normal / normal, I was like uh-oh, and quit drinking them cold turkey. It's gone down to 2 above normal / normal (as I also lost a ton of body fat within that time from november to now) but I think giving up sodas and energy drinks is one of the best things I did for a part of my health.

Monster Lo-Carb kicks the crap out of every other diet energy drink I've tried. The only thing I disagree with you on is with the comedown, it's pretty much the second worst comedown (aside from the regular Monster)

Oh, really? I always have a really smooth landing with the lo-carb. Whereas sugar drinks make me crash.
Ha, I have yet to taste a smoother drink than monster lo-carb.

It's probably been atleast six months since I've had any beverage from an aluminum can. I see so many people drinking energy drinks during class. I'm glad I quit. I get my caffeine from two cups of coffee every morning.

These days I drink a Monster every now and then. I think what makes it addictive is the vitamin B12.
I think b12 is only absorbed best sublingually. None of this in the food nonsense.

B-vitamin complex supplements, ftw

True, but I doubt the local health store would stock "special pharmaceuticals."
