I never ride it because it's a good 4 cm too big and the rear wheel has just about given up the ghost.

Until earlier this year I had a 1980 PKN-10 the same color as Ricky H.'s, but I gave it to my son because he wanted to try road biking and because it fits him well, but is 2 cm too tall for me. My younger son rode a 24" wheeled Orient Express for a few years, until someone stole it and left a Magna POS in its place.

Tennessee. I'm not sure I'd want to sell it though, as it was my first road bike. On the other hand, I literally never ride it anymore. :o

Heres mine, I never ride it because its way to big and Im too cheap to buy the tools to overhaul the BB and I dont wanna damage it by riding with a dry/ out of adjustment BB. So now it just looks pretty sitting in the conder of my living room. i cant sell it because it was the first one I brought back to life (somewhat). Oh yea and the calbes are way to long, I used this bike to teach myself how to run cables and I left it long at first to make sure I didnt cut anything to short, 6 months later I still havent gotten around to trimming them up. :)

I love that bike even though I get angry when I see it. The one that was stolen from me was going to end up very much like that one.

Do you have any of those skull stickers left? Where did you get them again?

Yea I'm just fine, it only furthered my backing for helmets and made me thankful to have my books with me so I didn't break anything only a little swelling. But my bike was in even better shape than I just torn handle tape and a tiny I mean tiny need for truing but I figured while I'm at the tape why not make a party out of it.

I love orange Peugeots and my daily ride is a 1962 that has been converted to a fixed gear... with the modifications the bike hits the curb at just under 23 pounds with her little rack.

http://members.shaw.ca/feynn/biking/bridgette5.jpg

http://members.shaw.ca/feynn/biking/bridgette2.jpg

I also have a 1955 PLX 10 Grande Tourisme... at some point the drop bars were replaced with risers and I have since found drop bars for my old French girl to bring her back to her original form.

She is an absolute joy to ride and you have to forgive me for the shoddy pics.

I love the Competition shifter up front...

I understand that too many, the JUY 543 is the holy grail of Simplex derailleurs and it does work beautifully.

This is my commute bike going through a spring clean. Its an 89 Ventoux Reynolds 501 originaly with a Shimano 105 group, 14 speed. I have had to replace a few bits and pieces as time has gone by (ie wheels, bottom bracket, brake levers (not in the photo - a more recent replacement for worn out bushing) seat, headset. I an looking forward to celebrating its 20th birthday !

Looks like $5.00 well spent to me. I picked up two Peugeots for $5.00 and one had the same issue with the non-original steel back wheel. It sat in the garage for a couple of years until I had an accident with my other bike that damaged the front wheel and fork. Then I grabbed the rear wheel from that bike, threw it on the Peugeot and away I went.

This is my 1980 CFX-10 that I found, covered in dirt, on CL about a month ago for $150. After much rubbing this is how it turned out. I added new tires and swapped out the Cinelli stem for another I had that fits better, then re-wrapped the bars in vintage ribbon. My friend hooked me up with brake hoods and a Campy NR front derailleur to match the rear. He also had a NOS Reynolds 531 frame sticker (not the correct one, but it will do) that covers up the scratch on the original one. Rides great and it's so quiet.

Feel free to use the orange UJ-10. I have higher res pictures if you want them. A lot of the drive train
isn't orginal though.

Is this project related to helping people identify Peugeots by showing examples? I've also got a
Bordeaux you can have a picture of. I've made some unforunate decisions regarding tire colors,
but otherwise it looks good ;-)
